I believe in our innate ability to live authentically

Life is unique and wonderful, full of surprises, sadness, stress, happiness and love. It is our greatest adventure and the only thing that we ought to become really good at. Living, that is.

When we grow up, we learn through our caregivers and our surroundings how to regulate our reactions, so that we can handle the storms of life. When we are unable to do so, we end up accumulating stress that could lead to illness.

When we are not in control of our basic needs and how to meet these, we feel a lack of control that shows up as stress in the nervous system and we feel less alive and present. When we have learnt how to take care of our needs, we feel that we can meet whatever challenge life presents us and we build a healthy self esteem and an inner peace.

My role as a trauma therapist is to connect your current life situation to your basic needs and assist you in understand how you can take care of them. The end result is both a calm body and a more harmonious and free life.

THE METHOD

I'm using the NARM method, which is a somatic based psychotherapeutic method to deal with complex and relational trauma. It is deeply non-pathologizing and based in the here and now, not in the story that our minds make up. Developed by Dr Laurence Heller it is at the forefront of modern trauma therapy.

MY BACKGROUND

I have been practicing Osteopathy since 2004, but always felt that the biomechanical model didn't fit my personal preferences. Through my own healing, I was introduced to the NARM model and had my basic training in 2021. Assisting people through this model fills me with awe and gratitude and is my absolute passion.

THE SPACE

We meet through an online video call platform for about an hour. During our call, one of the main goals is finding an intention for yourself that your body resonates with and then exploring the obstacles to living from that internal state. These obstacles often stem from the limiting beliefs of the inner child.
